For those of you that didn’t rush out to pick up Diablo III when it launched, you just lost your reason for not playing. Diablo III now has a FREE Starter Edition for new players to test the waters and get their feet wet. You can level your character all the way up to level 13 and play up to the Skeleton King boss of Act 1 before you have to pay a cent. Not a bad oppurtunity for Diablo II loyalists and newcomers to try out the newest title in the series.
You can get the FREE Starter Edition in any of the following ways:
· Log in to an already existing Battle.net
account at http://www.battle.net
, and sign up for the Diablo III
Starter Edition through the “Your Game Accounts” section.
· Create a new Battle.net
account and then the Diablo III
Starter Edition license will be added to your account automatically.
· Borrow the Diablo III
game disc from a friend, install the game, and then log in with your Battle.net
account. The Diablo III
Starter Edition will be added to your account automatically.
As you probably expected there will be some limitations to the Starter Edition aside from a level cap. But any achievements earned or progress made can be carried over if you choose to purchase the full version of Diablo III.
