PlayStation Mobile’s Own PlayStation Store Announced
Posted on September 18, 2012 AT 11:52pm

PlayStation Mobile has had a tumultuous history in a short period of time. What began as the PlayStation Suite and only existed on select Sony Ericsson Xperia smartphone models has since become PlayStation Mobile and has opened up to third party developers willing to get involved in the land of mobile PlayStation gaming. The first partner was HTC, and by the looks of things today, Fujitsu and Sharp have joined the party as well. They are the first of what will without a doubt be many others, as Sony unveiled the PlayStation Mobile SDK will be available to developers starting in November for a $99 a year subscription.
The big news is that they announced the PlayStation Store for PlayStation Mobile, which is set to launch on October 3rd and launch with somewhere in the vicinity of 30 new titles, all priced within 50 to 850 yen (or about $.65 to $10 — so expect $.99 to $10). This is exciting and could really make the PlayStation Mobile platform a more visible and viable platform that more gamers turn to for their mobile gaming needs.
