The phrase “Calgary, Alberta, Canada,” as long and drawn out pauses in between words as possible is one that is pretty well known to wrestling fans, or at least it should be. Those are the words that former ECW, WCW and WWE wrestler Lance Storm used to prove to the world just how good his wrestling pedigree was, because to them it had an almost holy lineage coming from it in the way of the Hart clan. Why am I talking about Lance Storm? Simple, as the indie professional wrestling game, one of the leaders in the movement, Pro Wrestling X, has secured Lance as a consultant.
Lance is the latest in a long line of people who have consulted on the game over the years, from people like TNA wrestler AJ Styles and even fans and gamers like myself (seriously, that happened like a million years ago), and his arrival to the project comes at a critical time for it, as Pro Wrestling X: Uprising is getting a layer of polish on it before it is released and will serve as the appetizer for the full Pro Wrestling X experience.
Pro Wrestling X is currently involving in a fund-raising drive using the vastly popular Kickstarter platform with a lofty goal of $75,000 to help bring Pro Wrestling X to life. If you are curious what exactly Lance Storm brings to the table, he operates the Storm Wrestling Academy and if the project reaches its goal they will film Storm and some of his trainees performing moves to be used as in-game animations.
So go ahead and check out their Kickstarter and join in on one of the longest running projects to bring enjoyable wrestling games to life and help make it a reality.
