Ranger Concept Art for Stronghold Crusader 2

Firefly Studios made fans happy and sad earlier this year when they announced Stronghold Crusader 2 was coming to PC but they’d have to wait until the last quarter of 2013. To make up for this happy-yet-sad moment, they have released a piece of concept art for the upcoming title.
Let us introduce you to the new class, the Ranger. He is a master of all trades. He is good with a melee attack by sword or can handle ranged attacks by bow and to make things a little more special, the Trebuchet will be returning with troop formations. Time to sling some boulders at your enemies.

Do not be fooled into thinking this will just be an expanded version of the first game. Stronghold Crusader 2 will have new visuals, a sexy new battle interface, some nifty engine enhancements like real-time physics, animations and effects, and since they are building on the original gameplay, it won’t feel foreign to seasoned veterans of Stronghold Crusader.
Of course there will be new maps, new unit classes and new castle designs and I hear that the AI has gotten a little craftier so get ready for some fast-paced battle action.
