S.T.R.I.K.E.5 Keyboard Announced, Looks Like A Power Ranger Device
Posted on October 23, 2012 AT 11:57am
Part of it does, honestly: The E.Y.E. OLED Command Module looks like (and heck, even sounds like) a Power Rangers morpher, specifically the Quantum Ranger. Mount it on the arm, and it’ll help you put on spandex.
Mad Catz has announced the S.T.R.I.K.E. 5 keyboard, a modular gaming-focused keyboard. Sure, you can write your Powerpoint presentations on it, but the OLED Command Module really won’t help completing your homework.
What the keyboard IS primed for is gaming. The modular system contains seven different components, including keyboard, the number pad, two wrist-rests, a side control, an additional controlling component, and the E.Y.E. OLED Command Module, which “functions as the brains of the keyboard, allowing gamers to adjust multiple aspects of their gaming environment including speaker/microphone volume, backlighting brightness, multiple Respawn Timers and a game, website and application launcher.”
The design steals the show. Does it work well? We gave the S.T.R.I.K.E. 7 a 7/10; can the lighter-budget version make up the difference?
