San Diego Comic Con has come and gone, but news from the conferences is still slowly surfacing. One of the biggest panels in the comic book world was the DC Now! panel, which featured the latest and greatest in news from DC Comics.
The biggest announcement was the reveal for Zero Month, which will start in September and will feature #0 issues for many of the major titles in The New 52, allowing some great one shot origin stories a year after the relaunch of many of the biggest DC titles. Some of the major titles that were revealed were major books such as Flash, Aquaman, Deathstroke, Grifter, Batman, Green Lantern and more. These issues will go back to the very beginnings, as well as feature some great artwork, with each individual character busting through the black and white covers for their respective issue #1′s, in the shape of a zero.
Some other vague announcements were the rumor of Raven making an appearance in the new series for the Teen Titans, which will bring the fan favorite back to the team, as well as the well known Shazam into the fold for the Justice League.
Also brought up were a new Phantom Lady, and the announcement of something called “Trinity War”, which is still in its early stages and has very little in the way of new information.
It was a great panel, though, and the new direction of DC Comics looks to be pretty exciting. Check back for more news in the future.
