Nintendo fans lucky enough to be in the area for this year’s San Diego Comic Con are likely to pleased even if they don’t have a badge to attend the event. While the main event will be held at the San Diego Convention Center from July 12-15. Both con attendees and the general public will get a hands on experience with the brand new Nintendo 3DS XL. The handheld system is due for launch on August 19th and has a screen that is 90 percent bigger than the regular Nintendo 3DS that is currently available.
But what do you mean by ‘the general public’? Well, if you live in the San Diego area but don’t have a Comic Con badge, don’t sweat it! The Nintendo Gaming Lounge will be located in the San Diego Ballroom at the Marriott Marquis & Marina at 333 W. Harbor Drive, adjacent to the San Diego Convention Center. A badge is NOT required to drop into the lounge and play to your hearts content.

- KINGDOM HEARTS 3D [Dream Drop Distance] (Square Enix)
- LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes (Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment)
- Pokémon Conquest
- Kirby’s Dream Collection: Special Edition
- Just Dance 4 (Ubisoft)
