Sleep Well Nintendo Power
Posted on August 21, 2012 AT 01:20pm
It seems after just a little more than twenty four years, Nintendo Power is shutting its presses for good. Despite being one of the longest running magazines, editors and staff were told of the impending shutdown last week but they will be sent to other projects to work on them, including GameRadar and MacLife magazine. Tweets from their senior editor Chris Hoffman seem to have confirmed this hushed rumor as he said he was “sad to see it go” and the team would “try to make the last issues memorable”, though now the tweets are no longer online.
It’s unclear how many more issues are left after its latest one, that being the August edition, so one might want to continue to look out for when the final one is shipped out. Sad to see something I grew up with go the way of other magazines of its kind, like Gamepro. Here’s the to staff who have provided years of dedication to their fans.
