Sony President Pays Nintendo’s Wii U a Visit
Posted on December 7, 2012 AT 04:08am
Some people hold onto their systems and abide by the unwritten rules of the Console Wars like… well… idiots. However there are some people that aren’t above playing “the other company’s” system. In this case it’s Shuhei Yoshida the president of Sony Computer Entertainment’s Worldwide Studies owns a Wii U… and reps Playstation… naturally.
Since putting his Nintendo ID on Twitter, he’s been accepting friend requests and talking to players about their experiences, and his, in the Wii Universe. In a way it could be more than just a fun break from work. Perhaps doing some extracurricular research for the benefit of the new Playstation…
Regardless of his intent, it’s clear that he’s having some fun, even if it involves poking at Nintendo in a playful manner. Which was certainly the case when Yoshida posted “I *heart* PS” in the Nintendo Land Plaza, complete with smiley face and his twitter handle, “YOSP”.
It’s interesting and quite nice to see that even people in the business aren’t above having a fun poke at, and even playing, their competitors systems. It sort of makes one wonder if the guys at Nintendo or Microsoft have a considerable amount of fun playing their competitors systems.
