Star Trek: Into Darkness Teaser Trailer Comes to Light

After 3 years, J. J. Abrams has finally announced the highly anticipated sequel to his 2009 take on Star Trek, Star Trek: Into Darkness. The trailer gives a release date of May 17, 2013. Oddly enough, the Japanese announcement trailer runs a full 12 seconds longer then the other trailers. The trailer is available in iTunes Trailers in multiple languages.

In addition, in select IMAX theaters, the first 9 minutes of Into Darkness will be shown before The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

A second teaser trailer has been announced and will be released on December 17th.
