Steam Launches Beyond Games

The first batch of software titles were launched on Steam today. Valve announced this expansion into the application software market a few months ago but also stated that these titles will take full advantage of the Steamworks features. These features include automatic updating, easy installation, the ability to save to your personal Steam Cloud space for access anywhere. As another example, GameMaker Studio features integration with the Steam Workshop so users will be able to share their work via Steam.
The list of launch titles are:
- ArtRage Studio Pro
- CameraBag 2
- GameMaker: Studio
- 3D-Coat
- 3DMark Vantage
- 3DMark 11
To celebrate, all software titles on Steam will be 10% off throughout the week.
