Steel Battalion Heavy Armor Demo Now on Xbox Live
Posted on May 24, 2012 AT 08:45am
Here’s something to add to your download queue and try as soon as you get home: the long-awaited demo of Steel Battalion Heavy Armor.
Steel Battalion made its place in history as one of the most complex console games ever created. Unlike other mech simulators, the game was sold with what is perhaps the biggest controller ever made for a console. Really, look at the thing:
Heavy Armor will require players to use both a controller and Kinect, and touts itself as the true first Kinect game for hardcore gamers. Set in the year 2082 (who picks these dates, anyway?) the world is now bereft of computers and silicon technology. In the war against China, players will sit behind the next great weapon: the Vertical Tank. We’re really hoping this game, developed by From Software and Capcom, to be the answer to the pleas of fans asking for Kinect’s full potential to be unleashed.
The demo is exclusive to Gold members of Xbox Live for the time being. You can download it here, and enjoy yourselves before the launch of the game on June 19th.
