Sundance Institute Screening Short Films on YouTube
Posted on January 24, 2013 AT 02:47pm
Like many of you, I have a love for independent film. I especially love short films, but it’s often hard to find the ones that ‘everyone’s talking about’. Many of the shorts shown at the Sundance Film Festival end up being mentioned the Oscars or other awards, and it seems like only the Academy or other hoity-toity folks have even heard of them, let alone seen them.
The Sundance Institute is changing that. Last year, they had a selection of short film subjects available exclusively through Yahoo! This year, they’ve moved to YouTube. There are currently 12 short films ‘hand-selected for YouTube by the Short Film Programmers’ on the channel. I’ll definitely be watching them, and you can, too!
Head over to the Sundance ‘Screening Room’ channel and get watching!
They’ve also got four ‘YouTube Original Shorts at Sundance’ videos as well.
Go, watch! What’s your favorite short film(s) in the dozen?
