Ever wonder what goes into making a star studded trailer for one of the most highly anticipated first person shooters of the year? Well consider your curiosity satisfied. Check out the behind the scenes video below of the “Surprise” trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops II. In case you can’t view it currently, I’ll give you a break down of what you’re missing: this is basically a trailer for a trailer (trailception?). Aside from a few words from commercial director Guy Ritchie and a few shots of Robert Downey Jr. on a blue screen screen in a cockpit, there isn’t an awful lot of insight to be had. But you do get some choice words from FPS Russia and iJustine, so it may be worth your while after all.
But despite not having anything mind blowing within, the video does give a couple of interesting looks at how each layer of the trailer was pieced together. At the very least you get to see some big names having fun and there is also some impressive zombie make up to be seen.
What do you think of the behind the scenes look? Is it what you were hoping for or do you feel like you’ve been duped?
