Team NINJA has been on a rampage with the recent announcements for the upcoming installment in the acclaimed Dead or Alive games. The countdown to Dead or Alive 5 is on and with it comes a slew of new characters and returning old favorites. Not to be outdone, they made an announcement about two characters today at Gamescom 2012, and it is one for the real fans of the series, not the ones who just enjoy modifying the settings for increased bounciness. Well, okay, everyone likes the bouncy stuff, I think there has been scientific studies to that.
Dead or Alive 5 will re-introduce Brad Wong and Eliot, two characters from the previous games which had yet to be announced yet. Eliot, the youngest fighter in the DOA series makes his return to the fighting world with his unique fighting style. He tends to be the polite and respectful opponent who during the fight will become aggressive and impatient. There is a good chance that he’ll see some growth in this DOA game, as he has in previous games.
The return of Brad Wong, the legendary drunken master, is enough to make DOA fans happy for a while. One of the most fun characters to play as in 3D fighting games returns with his “Drunken Master” style and of course, he’ll have a new quest before him, after concluding his quest for the win Genra. Odds are it will involve more alcohol and drunken kung fu, which everyone should be on board with.
Dead or Alive 5 is set to be released on September 25th on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 home consoles.
