505 Games has revealed a few more details about the multiplayer functions for the upcoming console release of Terraria.

The game will be using something they call the ‘immediate invite system’ which will allow you to have up to seven friends join your game ‘all at the press of a button’. It also will support four player single console split screen, and four versus four split screen. To be honest, I’m not 100% sure what the ‘four versus four split screen’ is.  My immediate mental visual of eight reallllllly tiny screens is probably wrong. As soon as we know more, so will you!

Terraria still doesn’t have an official release date, but it sounds like it’s only a few short weeks away. Look out for it soon on Xbox LIVE and Playstation Network!
