Tetris Goes Mobile
Posted on February 13, 2013 AT 11:34am

A new Tetris game is coming to Android and iOS devices and it will offer a little something new.
Tetris Blitz takes the old familiarity of Tetris and raises the bar. Players will have to compete again the clock to earn as many points as possible, and you only get two minutes.
“Tetris Blitz wraps all of the best elements of the iconic Tetris game inside a bite-sized, frenzied experience that is perfect for smartphones and tablets,” said Nick Earl, Senior Vice President and General Manager for EA’s All Play label. “The crisp graphics, innovative new controls and social leaderboards are bound to make Tetris Blitz a captivating gaming experience for longtime Tetris fans and newcomers alike.”
Players will have the choice of using a new drag-and-drop control system for moving puzzle pieces or they can stay with the old swipe method if they prefer. Tetris Blitz will also offer Facebook integration allowing you to post scores and compete against friends in weekly “tournaments”.
Tetris Blitz will be available in late Spring 2013.
