TGS 2012: Remember Me Lets You Build Your Own Combos
Posted on September 22, 2012 AT 08:03am
Capcom and DONTNOD have revealed a very interesting feature in the upcoming Remember Me, which is known as the ‘ComboLab’. In short, the ComboLab allows you to build your own sets of custom combos using various sets of moves called ‘Pressens‘. As you proceed through the game, you’ll be able to learn more moves and create longer and more complex combos, so it’s fairly certain that no two players will have the same combo sets. If you’d rather just play, you can auto-assign a moveset to each of the combos.
Jean-Maxime Moris, the game’s Creative Director, explains the ComboLab as well the special attacks [S-Pressens] in detail in this gameplay trailer:
I personally haven’t seen a combo system quite this deep outside of a fighting game before. Some folks have horrible time remembering combos, so being able to build your own combos would be a great help, and would add an immense amount of flexibility in your chosen fighting ‘style’.
Here’s hoping that Capcom spills the beans about more features and story in Remember Me soon. Every new bit of information makes me all the more excited to play the final game!
