A set timeframe has finally been placed on the wait for Naughty Dog’s latest offering.  The Last of Us is set to open next summer with a bang on May 7, 2013.

Set 20 years after  a frightening viral pandemic, The Last of Us follows Joel and Ellie as they battle humans and infected alike as they journey across the wasteland that is the US.  The Last of Us will be released exclusively on the PS3 and players can now pre-order the game from various retailers.  GameStop is also offering bonus content those that pre-order.  The Sights and Sounds pack features a downloadable copy of the game’s soundtrack as well as a PS3 theme and avatars.  The GameStop exclusive Survival Pack allows players to get a head start in the multiplayer portion of the game with bonus experience, a melee attack booster, and in game currency to spend on boosters and other items.
