The Legend of Zelda series has had its ups and downs over the years. Like with any cult-like fandom, nerds argue over every title in the series. Among the most controversial titles was the GameCube’s Wind Waker. While many praised its ground-breaking gameplay and storyline, others found extreme fault with the cell-shaded graphics, sailing mechanics, among other things. It’s nerds. They’ll complain about anything. Personally, I rather enjoyed Wind Waker.

Anyways, on this morning’s Nintendo Direct, a Wind Waker HD Remake has been 100% confirmed for the Wii U. No release date has been given at time of writing.
