Fasten your seatbelts ladies and gentlemen; you’ve just buckled in for a bumpy ride. Spy Hunter, the series that started the combat driving genre is back this fall on the PlayStation Vita and the Nintendo 3DS. On the 30th anniversary of the originals release into the arcades, players will once again take on the role of the “Agent” piloting the high-tech Interceptor supercar.
“Spy Hunter’s classic gameplay has been upgraded to give PlayStation Vita and 3DS players a new, adrenaline-charged experience,” said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “Gamers now have more choice in the transformation and customization with greater hand controls, brilliant graphics and enhanced action cameras.”
Instead of just putting out the classic game in an HD form, Warner Bros. has put a few extra spins on the old title. New transformation forms and branching missions are set to give players a bit more replayability on top of the addicting gameplay of the original. For the first time, the Agent will also have the option for some aerial support in the form of an unmanned drone, allowing players to plan their route of destruction better than ever before.
Spy Hunter will be hitting the pavement on the Playstation Vita and Nintendo 3DS this fall.
