Fans of one of the most popular RTS franchises should prepare to return to where it all started. On November 1, Firefly Studios will release both Stronghold and Stronghold Crusader in HD. If you have been wanting to revisit the series or see where it all started but were scared away by the outdated graphics,  then head to your favorite digital online retailer and grab these classics. The HD remakes support resolutions up to 2560 x 1600, and a new feature has been added which allows players to zoom out to view the entire battlefield in real-time.

Stronghold HD contains the familiar missions to defeat renegade lords as well as an economic campaign. Stronghold Crusader HD has four historical campaigns, and it comes with all the content from the Stronghold Warchest and Stronghold Crusader Extreme. Of course there’s just too much content to mention in one post, but if you’re reading this, then chances are you’re already familiar with the Stronghold series. If you’re not, then I strongly suggest you learn more about the series, because if you have any sort of interest in RTS games, then the Stronghold series is the one to play.
