After a false start inspired by an enthusiastic (but not quite up to snuff) fan made trailer AMC’s The Walking Dead fans have been a little skeptical over the upcoming first person shooter game from Activision.  The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct has had its release  date bumped up a week to March 19th. To go with that we have pre-order bonus info to share!

Pre-ordering the game from Amazon will earn you some extra downloadable content. You’ll get the ”Herd Mode Challenge” where you have to defend against waves of  oncoming walkers, it’s a mode that has been done before in other games but if you’re already planning on getting the game why not have an extra mode to go with it? You’ll also get five pointy blade weapons for those that want to place some heavy focus on the up close and personal style of taking out the undead. If you choose to pre-order from GameStop you’ll get the same downloable content, but as an added bonus to your pre-order bonus you’ll get a walker ear key chain! The keychain is inspired by the walker ear necklace that fan favorite and Survival Instinct protagonist Daryl Dixon made on the show in its second season.
