As the Wii U pre-order madness continues, gamers are sure to wonder what they’ll use to hear the audio and chat while playing multiplayer games on Nintendo’s latest console. Turtle Beach has the answer, since they just announced two new additions to their Ear Force headset lineup. The Ear Force NLa and Ear Force N11 entry level headsets were designed with Nintendo game systems in mind. Not only are they compatible with the Wii U GamePad controller, they can also be used on the go with the Nintendo DS and 3DS (via a 4-pole connector).
The Ear Force NLa headset provides high-fidelity stereo game audio and communication capabilities with a lightweight design. It features in-line volume control and noise-isolating ear cushions to block external sound. The N11 model boasts 50mm speakers to deliver good bass response along with an extended frequency range. It has a fully adjustable headband and breathable ear cushions, which means those long gaming sessions won’t be cut short by an uncomfortable headset.
“The Wii U launch will prove to be one of biggest gaming console events of the year and we couldn’t be more excited to support Wii U with dedicated headsets,” said Bob Picunko, Chief Marketing Officer of Turtle Beach. “The advanced capabilities of the Wii U system offer us the chance to deliver gamers the kind of quality they fully expect from both Turtle Beach and Nintendo.”
Both headsets are expected to be released sometime in Q4 2012. The NLa model (available in both black and white) MSRP is $34.95, and the N11 (available in black) MSRP is $49.95.
If you happen to be at the Tokyo Game Show between September 20-23, stop by the Turtle Beach booth (Makuhari Messe, Hall 2, booth 1-N6) to check out these new headsets and other Turtle Beach products.
