Posted on March 20, 2013 AT 11:57am
Are you heading to PAX East this weekend? Do you think you have the skills to compete with pro gamers from around the world in a high stakes FPS tournament? Gamers looking to test their mettle will get the opportunity to see how they stack up against the competition in the newest Ubisoft release, ShootMania Storm. The winning team from the PAX East tourney will be entered in the IPL ShootMania Storm Launch Event Tournament in San Francisco for the opportunity to win their share of over $100,000 in prizes.
To sign up for the PAX East tournament, players need to visit the ShootMania Storm booth on Friday, March 22 to register. Players can register individually or as a team of three. The actual competition will be held during show hours on Friday and Saturday. The winning team will be flown out to San Francisco for the final tournament to be held at Cobb’s Comedy Club from April 6-7. If the team is not able to travel to the final tourney for whatever reason, they will automatically receive the 16th place prize of $2,000.
ShootMania Storm is set to release on PC on April 10. Designed from the ground up for eSports competition, ShootMania Storm features fast paced, finely tuned shooting and a robust map editor for players to create and share their creations with the ShootMania community. ShootMania is currently in open beta at www.shootmania.com for those who want to give it a try or hone their skills for the upcoming PAX Tournament.
