Update Planned for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for Wii U in April
Posted on February 28, 2013 AT 01:43pm

Sure, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate hasn’t been released but, there is an update in the works already. Citing feedback from the community, Capcom announced that a month after release, MH3U will get an update that will add cross-region functionality and the ability to play the game on the Wii U gamepad without the need for the TV screen.
What does this all mean? In short, players in North America and Europe will be able to engage in 4-on-4 online battles together and the update will make the game compatible with “off-TV” play.
In addition, Capcom will release additional, free, downloadable quests for several months after the releae of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. The first quest will be available for download at launch.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be released on March 19, 2013 for both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, at retail stores as well as in the Nintendo eShop.
