Paradox Interactive, in association with Fatshark, has announced a gold edition of their popular War of the Roses entitled War of the Roses: Kingmaker. The new edition includes all the top-notch weapons and armor that have been released since the title originally dropped in October 2012. Kingmaker will be available in Q1 2013 and will include previously exclusive armor sets for both red and white roses, and include two new game modes, Assault and Assault Castle.

A free trial version of Kingmaker will be available on February 6th. The trial will allow players access to all the game base modes including online play, however, all unlockables will be unavailable, preventing players from achieving true knighthood.

Additionally, Paradox will be releasing a new DLC pack that includes famed British voice actor, Brian Blessed, as the game’s narrator. Players will be able to hear Blessed’s booming voice say such things as “KILL THE ENEMY!” as they play the game. Paradox will also be releasing a new set of updates for all versions of the game that include new armors and a new forest map.
