Gaming news site GiantBomb has confirmed with The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct team that the alleged game trailer released yesterday is actually unofficial. Not only unofficial, it’s fan made with footage of the game’s first reveal shown on IGN.com. The footage used is for a build that is not the finished product, thankfully. Some fans will find themselves breathing a sigh of relief as the trailer left many up in arms about the low production quality.  In the name of not feeding the trolls, we will not be including a link to the video on our site.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct at this time has no official release date so it’s not especially shocking that there is no official trailer yet. The game is due to release in 2013 and will be available for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The game itself will feature AMC’s The Walking Dead fan favorite Daryl Dixon and his brother Merle as they fight their way through Atlanta prior to meeting up with the television show’s group of survivors.
