Wii Mini: The Reviews Are In
Posted on December 13, 2012 AT 06:39am
The Canada-exclusive Wii Mini was recently released over the last week. Before it was released, it was already known that it would have no internet, no Gamecube support, and be slightly smaller. Many complained about the lack of Gamecube support, seeming to not realize that all 2nd generation Wiis don’t have Gamecube support, and of course, the internet issue was also a concern.
As it turns out the Wii Mini may just be a silly marketing ploy by Nintendo. The unit is actually not that much smaller then a regular Wii. All internet support has been removed, Nintendo even went so far as to remove the internet options from the system’s menu and settings. Additionally, it does not support component cables, opting for the old composite cables instead. Long story short, it’s utter crap. (Source: EuroGamer.net)
