Nintendo of America announced over 400,000 Wii Us were sold over the course of the system’s North America launch week. Not to be outdone, Nintendo UK announced this past weekend, over 40,000 units sold in the United Kingdom, furthermore there was a software attachment rate of 2:1, excluding eShop digital sales.

Stocks have sold out in major retailers of London’s High Street and others are still trying to keep up with the demand, but higher stocks won’t be available until after the New Year.
