Wii U’s Deluxe Digital Promotion Nets Players 10% Back In eShop
Posted on October 30, 2012 AT 01:25pm
The math is surprisingly simple, but it took a bit of time for Nintendo to actual explain the program.
If you buy the black Deluxe Wii U, you’ll be signed up for the Deluxe Digital Promotion. Running from the console’s launch through the end of 2014; not a shabby amount of time, but not the entire run of the console.
For all purchases and DLC on their network, you will receive 1 point for every dime. 500 points (spending $50.00) will net you a $5 credit. This credit will be usable in the 3DS eShop or the Wii U’s. The site to track these purchases won’t be up until December, but the tracking will have begun by then. You will sign in with your, mysterious, Nintendo Network ID.
There’s no sign that physical purchases will go to this program, nor that these digital purchases (or even the physical ones, honestly) would count towards Club Nintendo status, presuming that program remains.
