The Winter Update has come to Firefly Studio’s popular MMO, Stronghold Kingdoms. This update brings three new features; Vacation mode, in-game advent calendar with prizes to win, and of course, snow.

Players have been requesting a Vacation Mode and Firefly Studios listened. This will allow players to protect their kingdoms for a specific period of time, with a maximum of 15 days, by setting their Kingdom account to Vacation Mode. No enemy players or AI will be able to attack you and your account will be inaccessible across all the game worlds until the time expires on Vacation Mode.

Once you log in, you will notice a change has come over the landscape. A snow storm blew through and left a blanket of the white stuff all over the world map. There will be areas of heavy snow, animated snowfall and festive trees added to the mix.

A little later today, players will have access to the Stronghold Kingdoms Christmas Giveaway for 2012. Firefly Studios will be giving away Premium Tokens and Card Pack plus there will be a guaranteed prize on Christmas Day. All players need to do to win is login and open a door on the new Kingdoms Advent Calender. Everyone with a Kingdoms account will have two chances to win every day between December 12th and January 1st.
