Witcher 2 Ready for Modders to Take Advantage with REDkit
Posted on August 17, 2012 AT 08:50am
Adam Badowski, studio head at CD Projekt RED and Witcher 2 development, stated at GamesCom:
We have our own vision for RPGs, they should present an exciting story and give players lots of choices that really matter. The REDkit is designed to create adventures that way – mature, non-linear and engrossing stories set in vivid worlds filled with believable characters.
REDkit is the recently unveiled mod toolkit for CD Projekt’s award-winning title The Witcher 2 – and REDkit allows modders to create their own environments, free-form quests, and much more. CD Projekt RED states that modders can enroll for access by September 30th, 2012 at the link below. Considering the success of mod-driven tools that created runaway mod hits like Arma II: Combined Operations being related to DayZ, the PC modding community is coming together stronger than ever.
