WTF Wednesday: Angry Barry [XBLIG]
Posted on November 14, 2012 AT 01:19pm
Welcome to the first entry in our new weekly series WTF Wednesday’s. Here we will highlight some of the random, crazy games that are out here in the wild. Some will be funny, some will be strange, and some will just make you go…huh?!?!
This week we would like to highlight the beat-em-up political satire by Arrogancy Games, Angry Barry. First released in 2009 on Xbox Live Indie Games, players take control of political pundit Barry as he hulks up and fights for votes in the upcoming Presidential Election. Players battle old ladies, secret service agents, and various caricatures of popular political representatives in their quest for the presidency.
Arrogancy Games took a cue from the classic arcade brawler Bad Dudes when creating Angry Barry. Players have access to a simple arsenal of punches, kicks, and combos as well as the dreaded hope punch which unleashes a screen clearing fireball set against the backdrop of the American Flag. With tongue planted firmly in cheek, Angry Barry is actually quite fun especially when teaming up with a buddy for some local co-op through the 9 level campaign (pun intended).
Angry Barry is available on Xbox Live Indie Games for 240 Microsoft Points. For more information be sure to visit the Angry Barry home page at arrogancygames.com/angrybarry.
