Wub-Wub In 16-Bit Style With “The Border Lands”
Posted on August 23, 2012 AT 06:59pm
Borderlands was a massive hit, and with Borderlands 2 hitting shelves in less than a month, the fun folks over at 2K Games and Gearbox Software have released a new chapter in the Borderlands franchise…sort of. The 16-bit “demake”, entitled The Border Lands, gives fans a chance to see some of the original elements of the game, though, it won’t have a billion guns.
The Border Lands will be a free to play PC browser game to give fans the ability to get back into the franchise with some new content before the release of Borderlands 2, and will feature a signature ’80′s style in a way that only the Borderlands franchise can produce.
The Border Lands is available now via this website, and Borderlands 2 will debut on PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on September 18t
