Zombies are the Bacon of Video Games

Posted on September 27, 2012 AT 11:38am

The next chapter in the Call of Duty franchise is only a few weeks away and sure, I love the multiplayer when I need to unwind. There isn’t anything better to keep me from totally losing my mind at home than to get online and shoot total strangers in their virtual faces. However, I have a soft spot in my heart for zombies. I know, I know, the walking dead are all gross and smelly. That might be true, but don’t they just automatically make a game that much cooler? Think about it. They truly are the video game version of bacon and we know bacon is awesome by default.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II will not disappoint fans. It will have the customary zombies, the zombies we have all come to know and love. Arguments about Infinity Ward vs Treyarch aside, you have to admit that the zombie modes have been entertaining and worth playing. Testing your teamwork and survival skills while running away in a panic is a great way to spend some time online with friends. Plus there is the added bonus of trying to find all those cool little Easter Eggs. This new zombie mode has a few twists it seems. There is a hot chick this time and it appears the zombies are from a mental hospital, judging by the ones in straight jackets. No more Nazi zombies, they have been laid to rest.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be released on November 13th, the usual Veteran’s Day launch window. Plan on getting the Blops 2 Flu so you can spend the day saving the world from war  and zombies. I am sure you could get your doctor to write you a note…it’s a real illness…right?
