Ubisoft announced a new survival-horror first person shooter today at E3, entitled ZombiU. The game will put players in present day London in the middle of a viral outbreak that is, you guessed, turning people into slobbering creatures that only want to om nom your brains! The game will be exclusively available on the Nintendo Wii U.
ZombiU will take full advantage of the Wii U GamePad offering up an innovative take on the genre and game play as a whole. The GamePad is going to represent The Bug Out Bag! The Bug Out Bag is a backpack that will contain maps, weapons, supplies, and anything else survivors can manage to scrounge up from the decaying world around them. Other GamePad features used will be the touch screen, gyroscope, and camera. This will allow for players to form a connection between themselves and the in-game world they are fighting to survive in.
When you inevitably die, have no fear! ZombiU players can come back to life in the body of another survivor. Which then calls upon you to kill your former self, now an infected, so that you can salvage your old gear!
Much like the rest if the game, even the multiplayer portion will be taking advantage of the GamePad. One game mode will allow a player to become a Zombie Master. The Zombie Master will be in charge of spawning enemies and controlling them from the GamePad. The other player in this mode will be risking life and limb to fight against the hordes as they play the first person shooter portion on the big screen.
ZombiU will be an available launch title for the Nintendo Wii U and looks like it will be offering a one of a kind game play experience that is worth checking out.
