3AM Games Announces First-Person Puzzler “Magrunner”

The world of H.P. Lovecraft is about to get an interesting twist in the gaming world…

Today 3AM Games has announced that they are developing the first-person action/puzzler title Magrunner for PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, and PC. Using Unreal Engine 3 Magrunner follows a futuristic tournament of physics and magnetism, where you and six others take part in the grandest of all competitions: Magtech. This tournament will test your brain and reflexes via the usage of the Magtech glove, which you can load objects with a positive or negative charge into. Two items loaded with the same charge will attract each other, while two items loaded with different charges will repel.

Upon mastering the skills you will be able to progress along the game by solving puzzles, studying your surroundings, testing possibilities, and analyzing their effects. Soon after understanding the sporting event, you discover a dark secret. The area that hosts the event will plunge into a dangerous parallel universe: Cthulhu, a creepy land filled with creatures based on H.P. Lovecraft’s famous stories.

Magrunner is due to be released during the second quarter of 2013, and will be published by Focus Home Interactive.
