Paradox Interactive has opened the gates on the beta for A Game of Dwarves. A Game of Dwarves is a PC strategy game pitting you and your fellow dwarves against an evil wizard and his minions. You build up the dwellings of your society, and defend your home once it’s attacked.

So it is partly a resource management game, and also a strategy game.  Sign up has already started, and candidates for beta will be chosen in the coming weeks.
