Every new game system, when it’s first launched, has a shortage of great games. The PlayStation Vita launched with a few good titles available in stores, Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Lumines: Electronic Symphony for example, but there was one downloadable title that really captured my heart. Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack remains to be one of the best games currently available for the PS Vita console and soon it will be available to everyone on the Steam marketplace.
The game features one very grumpy mutant blob as it escapes from the lab that holds it captive to seek its revenge. The side-scrolling puzzle platforming gameplay is fun and addicting and the sense of humor the game exudes makes it even better. The Steam version of the game will include higher resolution art, Steam achievements, new mini-game levels, and controls revamped for the PC. If you’re curious about the game, please check out my review of the Vita game and pick up Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack when it hits Steam on August 15th.
