The legend of the Number 1 headband continues…

Indie publisher Versus Evil announced today that a sequel to Afro Samurai is now in production over at Redacted Studios for next gen consoles and PC. The upcoming third person action adventure will include an original storyline, new playable characters, and improved special moves and combos that will once and for all show players who the baddest mo-fo samurai truly is. No word on if Samuel L. Jackson is involved with the game, but more news will be revealed in the coming months.

Afro Samurai started life as a dojinshi manga series by Takashi Okazaki. It spawned an anime series and film, both licensed in America by FUNimation and aired on Spike TV. A video game was released back in 2009 by Bandai Namco Games to mixed reviews.
