If you had any doubt as to whether Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim is inspired by big robot anime, take a look at this short clip.

Pacific Rim is about humanity is in an losing battle against legendary giant monsters, called Kaiju.  The leads are Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarch) and Rinko Kikuchi (Sideways), but I’m more interested in cast members Charlie Day (It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) and Idris Elba (Luther). Pacific Rim comes to theaters in 2013.
