As the popularity of mobile phone gaming increases, we’ve begin to see more mainstream games appear on these platforms. Look out Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja! Make way for The Dark Knight Rises!

Gameloft has stepped up to the plate to make this exclusive game inspired by Christopher Nolan’s film, The Dark Knight Rises (set to release in about a month) for Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android phones and will  be released this summer. The game will tie in with events from the film , pitting you against the likes of Bane, Catwoman and other characters all while attempting to keep Gotham City safe from criminals.

Not too much info is known about the game yet, but I’m sure Gameloft will release a bit more in the next few weeks. Until then, feast your eyes on the trailer!
