In my Youtube travels, I came across information I was not aware of before. I love the OP and ED songs for Kamisama Hajimemashita (Kamisama Kiss), and it turns out that the song “Kamisama Onegai” is not a 2012 original, but a cover of a much older song. A 60s group called The Tempters (a 60s band name if I’ve ever heard one).

Maybe the whispered tones of Hanae made me think that this was a song originally created by a woman, but after looking at the lyrics, the song isn’t really made for a woman or a man in mind.
