Deep Silver and SouthEnd Interactive (makers of 2011′s brilliant Xbox Live Arcade title ilomilo) have just revealed the latest playable character in their upcoming Sacred spinoff game Sacred Citadel: the Ancarian Ranger!

In Sacred Citadel players will find themselves battling against evil forces in a side-scrolling hack ‘n’ slash/brawler set up with the use of several types of characters. Until now we’ve known only two of these playable characters: the Safiri Warrior and the Khukuri Shaman. With the Ancarian Ranger players will be able to use his double blades and archery skills to take down any man or beast that dares to get in his way. Sacred Citadel is due to be released later this year. Sacred 3 is also currently in development.
