Microsoft and Lionhead Studios announced that Fable Anniversary is on its way to the Xbox 360, landing February 4, 2014 in the U.S. for $40. The game will be available in Asia on the 6th and in Europe on the 7th. The game was supposed to launch on September of this year, but was delayed for a bit more polishing. As of right now, there are no plans to bring the game to PC or Xbox One.
Fable Anniversary is being labeled ad the “definitive” version of the extremely popular 2004 rpg. There’s been a 1080p HD boost in graphics, remastered audio, a redesigned interface, achievements, SmartGlass integration, and the addition of the Lost Chapters DLC.
A new save system has also been implemented. The original game gave players a World Save for when not questing and a Hero Save for when you were, depriving the ability save progress during many of the game’s quests. This as now been changed with the replacement of a checkpoint-based system update, where the game automatically saves the player’s progress. A manual save can also be created at any point throughout the game.
There was another announcement by Lionhead Studios stating that launch copies of Fable Anniversary will include the Launch Day Weapons & Outfits Pack, featuring:
- Scythe’s Outfit
- A Black Graduate Outfit
- A Red Prophet Outfit
- A Blue Guard Outfit
- A Red Guard Outfit
- A Lute Weapon
- A Will User’s Sceptre Weapon
Player’s will also get a special 10th Anniversary Lion’s Head Avatar Helmet.
Not to worry, Xbox One owners. Lionhead Studios is currently working Fable Legends for you.
