The Hunt For Yellow October
The Beatles — y’know, the group that does all the songs on Maggie’s baby records — have announced that their classic animated movie “Yellow Submarine” will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on May 29.
In addition, the film’s soundtrack will be reissued that same day.
Besides the original film, the DVD and Blu-ray will include a making-of featurette called “Mod Odyssey,” the original trailer, a commentary by producer John Coates and art director Heinz Edelmann, storyboards, interviews, pencil drawings, production photos, and an essay by Pixar head honcho John Lasseter.
The release of the DVD, BD, and CD will be preceded in April 24 by a new hardcover edition of the “Yellow Submarine” picture book, a 40-page read-a-long book with images from the film.
