BBC Home Video Announce New Doctor Who, Being Human, Top Gear, & Orphan Black DVDs, Blu-rays

BBC Home Video have announced their upcoming DVD and Blu-ray releases for the months of May, June, and July.

They’ll kick things off on May 14 with the release of Top Gear 19 on DVD ($24.98), as well as Doctor Who: The Visitation: Special Edition, an episode featuring Peter Davidson as the good Doctor, which will be paired on the DVD ($34.98) with a commentary, a making-of featurette, and other extras.

For people more into the modern Doc, May 28 sees the release of Doctor Who: Series Seven, Part Two on DVD ($24.98) and Blu-ray ($29.98), which will include two episode prequels.

The same day also brings the previously announced Doctor Who: The Snowmen, which has the most recent Christmas episode as well as two episode prequels and a making-of featurette on both DVD ($14.98) and Blu-ray ($24.48).

June continues the Doctor Who parade with two classic episodes featuring the third Doc, John Pertwee. One is a special edition DVD of Doctor Who: Inferno ($34.98), which comes a commentary, a deleted scene, a making-of featurette, a photo gallery, and other extras, while the other is The Mind of Evil ($34.98), which comes with its own commentary, making-of featurette, photo gallery, and other extras.

Then, on July 16, the BBC will release Doctor Who: The Doctors Revisited One – Four on DVD ($39.98), which has a profile of the first four doctors, as well as classic episode from each of their runs with a new introduction by the show’s current executive producer, Steven Moffat.

The same day brings another BBC sci-fi shows to home video with the release of Orphan Black: Season One on DVD ($29.98) and Blu-ray ($34.98), which will include character profiles, a set tour, and a making-of featurette.
