Shifting into Top Gear

BBC Home Video have announced their February slate of DVD and Blu-ray releases.

February 12 sees the release of Top Gear: 50 Years Of Bond Cars, a special but self-explanatory episode of the British car series. The disc will retail for $9.95.

That same day sees the release of Doctor Who: The Reign Of Terror, one of the earliest episodes of the British sci-fi series. It’s also, as a result, incomplete, as tapes of episodes four and five of the six-episode story have never been found. Instead, those episodes have been recreated with new animation. Along with the show, this collection will also include a commentary track, a making-of featurette, and more. It will retail for $24.98.

Finally, the American version of Top Gear gets its second season released on DVD on February 19. Besides the sixteen episodes, Top Gear: The Complete Second Season will also include extended scenes, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and interviews with the host. It will retail for $29.98.
