Castles Made of Sand
Fans of Nathan Fillion and his ABC dramedy Castle are getting double shot of good news today as Walt Disney Home Video have announced that Castle: The Complete Third Season will be on DVD on September 20, while Marvel Comics and ABC Studios announced that a spin-off graphic novel called Castle: Richard Castle’s Deadly Storm will be published on September 28.
The five-disc Castle DVD will include bloopers, deleted scenes, cast and crew commentary on two episodes, and a roundtable interview with Fillion and such real mystery writers as Michael Connelly.
The graphic novel — which will be available in both bookstores and on Marvel’s iPad app — is being cowritten by Brian Michael Bendis (Ultimate Spider-Man) and Kelly Sue DeConnick (Captain America And The Secret Avengers), with art by Lan Medina (Fables).
But the book won’t be a Castle story, but will instead be a comic adaptation of a Derrick Storm story, which is the character in the books written by Fillion’s character, Richard Castle.
Castle: The Complete Third Season will retail for $45.99, while Castle: Richard Castle’s Deadly Storm will be $19.99.
